I have been using many companies for paid blogging posts through the years. Since I have over 20 active blogs many of them have gotten approved and writing a paid post was consistent if not down right profitable at times. During periods of unemployment paid blogging paid the bills and almost equaled my regular paycheck and once and awhile exceeded it. This brings me to one very profitable company that I use to blog for PayU2Blog. Yes I earned lots of money from them, one year over $5K. But that had all ended now.
Around the beginning of January of this year (2013) I tried to log in and couldn't. I kept getting an error message that said "this page is for approved bloggers" written in red letters. Strange, I never had that happen before. I thought it was a glitch and tried again the next day, same thing. This kept going on for a week and then I sent them an email. No response from the email so I sent a message through their Facebook page, still nothing. I then sent another email, still no response. I finally posted on their Facebook page and the only comments I got were from other users, who were also having problems with them (those posts seem to have been removed). PayU2Blog does not like people to use Facebook as a social tool???!!! WTF! Don't they know how to use Facebook at all?
So what did I finally do? Since I no longer seem to be a blogger for Pay U2 Blog, I gave it until May 2013 for any emails from them and when none came I started to remove ALL the paid blog posts from my blogs that I did for them over the years. Some I just removed the links while other the whole post was removed. I am still finding a few of them and it will take time to remove them all but it will be done.
I wonder why a company that use to be so good to me just shut the door in my face without an explanation? I guess I will never know.

Some things that I will not promote
I will write just about anything.......if you pay me enough, but there are some exceptions. I will draw the line at gambling, drinking, smoking and payday advance loans. Let me tell you why.
I have seen first hand what heavy drinking and smoking can do to a family. Both my husbands father and my father died as complications of smoking. Heavy drinkers are rampant in my husbands family. Their habit has broken up almost every marriage so far. Where I live I noticed a lot of older men riding bicycles, then I found out they rode bikes simply because they lost their drivers licenses due to DUI's. So you can see why I will not promote drinking and smoking.
Gambling is another story. My mother-in-law is addicted to her state's lottery. She buys scratch off tickets everyday and of course buys those tickets for the BIG one. All this on her small fixed income and living one SS check to the next. She is in her late 70's and hopes to win big one day.......I doubt it, but she is addicted to the tune of at least $100 a week. That is an addiction that equals $5200 a year or more.
Lastly, those nasty payday loan sharks. In some states they are thinking about banning them. Those loans can often equal an interest rate of 75%. I am old enough to remember when the real mob loan sharks use to charge a 30% interest charge on their loans, nowadays credit card companies took over that slot. The only loan you should ever have is the one on your house, all other items you should save up for and pay cash.

SupaSwap - review
In their own words they state that they are like eBay but you can swap children's items with other people. You can also place bids and buy and sell. Of course SupaSwap wants their cut of the action at a whopping 10%!!!
Now don't get me wrong, they have a good idea going except most people will go to freecycle (one of the biggest swapping sites online) or craigslist for swapping. If they want to straight out sell then eBay is the way to go.
Another big turn off was this statement on their FAQ page:
Q: The item I bought was not 'as described'?
A: You must communicate with the seller if there are any problems with the transaction. SupaSwap are not responsible for any disputes between a buyer and a seller. Remember there is a feedback section that is designed to ensure honest and accurate trades take place between our members. However, if you report a problem then at our discretion we can investigate the matter and we reserve the right to remove a members access to SupaSwap.
At least on eBay you can get your money back or have some recourse, on SupaSwap there is almost nothing.
I am going to have to give SupaSwap a BIG thumbs down for now.
Don't get mad, just write a nasty blog post about it
Do you realize that as bloggers we can change the world? Instead of getting mad and pissed off and ranting and raving to our family and friends, we can and do tell the whole world about it.
So what ticked me off to start this blog post? This time is was our friends, and when I say "friends" I mean distant, very distant business partners at IZEA. They went and introduced SocialSpark 2.0, an updated version of their current SocialSpark blogging advertising platform. Last month when they said they would be using Google Analytics and dumping their own "real rank" bit of garbage, I was thrilled. That was until yesterday they released the NEW platform. They decided in their infinite wisdom to require them to automatically publish paid blog posts to your blog and that they would need your password and user name to get in. I said woe, no way. I have 10 blogs on my blogger account and only one of them is in their system. They all have the same password and user name. There is no way I am handing over my keys to MY blogs to some company that I have earned $25 in the last 3 months.
I also found out that IZEA has been getting some backlash from other bloggers in their system, a BIG backlash in fact. On their own blog post announcing the release of SS 2.0 there are currently over 25 angry bloggers posting comments to the post. Because of the backlash on that blog post, Ted, the owner of IZEA thought he had better clarify things on his next blog post explaining why they want to have access to your blog. He tries to rally the troops but he is failing fast.
I have been also monitoring Twitter for gossip on SocialSpark and there too have been some rumblings. Since it is still early in the battle of SocialSpark versus the bloggers, I can see that the low end bloggers don't care since they earn a $5 here and there and maintain their blogs solely for SS (those are the crap blogs that have lot's of links pointing to them, poor grammar and ads plastered all over the place and only 3 visitors a day). It is the high end bloggers that are fighting it or plan on leaving. Gee, that will make the advertisers happy. They will have access to 1000's of crap blogs instead of well known cream of the crop blogs.
Let's sit back and watch to see what will happen in the next 24-48 hours. Wow, I am not pissed off anymore, see what writing can do for a person......it calms them down.

How I make money with a blog that has no PageRank and only 3 visitors a day
When I first started blogging I use to think that I need either PageRank or traffic to my blog to earn money. At least that is what all the blogger gurus were saying. Since then I have learned otherwise. It is no secret that I do paid blogging on my 6 active blogs. When I first started with those paid blogging companies I learned what they were looking for - cheap back links to the advertisers they represented. Many of the companies I signed up for way back then have gone bye-bye and a few of them took the money they owed me as well. Only a handful have remained. Of those that remain only 2 require traffic or a low Alexa number, 3 require a PageRank and one just wants decent blogs, which they hand approve. That last one is the one that I earn my most money with. It is also the place where I have one blog that has no PageRank and the 3 visitors a day that I can earn at least $20 a week and usually more with.
That one company (which I WILL tell you) wants bloggers that actually work. I first signed up with them about 2 years ago and only had 2 blogs with them to check them out. I would get about 3 assignments a week and I would let them go until almost the due date and then I would do them. I started to notice that once I did those assignments, they would give me more. I soon found out that the faster I completed my tasks I was getting more and more assignments. At the time I was also getting lots of diet assignments with phrases like "top fat burner" that I had to fit into my blog posts. So I got the bright idea to start a blog about losing weight and sign it up with that company. It worked! I was now able to write about dieting without it looking out of place on my other blogs. I get about 4-6 assignments a week for that blog with each assignment paying from $5 to $10 for 60 words. What that company wants is bloggers that complete their assignments on time and are well written, that is it, no rocket science involved.
A word of warning, if you don't complete your assignments on time or refused to do them then they will close your account and remove your blogs from their system. Because of them removing bloggers that don't work, I have more work than ever. Just a few days ago I had over 35 assignments that have to be done by Friday. That's over $175.00 worth of work. Each one will take about 15 minutes each unless the word or phase fits in perfectly with what I will be blogging about anyway and I write more than 60 words.
So if you are doing paid blog posts and you are fed up with getting assignments that don't fit in with your blog's subject matter, don't fight it but make up another blog and make money from it.

An experiment in blogging
I have found another way to make money with a paid to post type of blogging opportunity. I was curious so I signed up. Now my loyal readers know that if my experiments in blogging or finding out that companies are rip offs I will report it here. So I am going to be up front and tell you right now that this post is my first "assignment" from Bloggerwave. I don't get credits if you sign up from my link but I am suppose to get $10.00 if they approve this post. If you are interested in this newer company then go to the home page and click on the FAQ link at the bottom of the page - I did. I found out most of my questions were answered except 2 of them. How do I get paid and when? I figured I have nothing to loose except the time it cost me to type this post in and I might end up with a really nice company to deal with in the end. I'll keep you posted on what happens next.

I am a blogger with some real life values
I know I need to have a paying job and I am desperately looking for one. Until then I blog and sell Sterling silver jewelry part-time for whatever little money I can get. There is one thing I WILL NOT do and that is write a blog for something or a company that I do not believe in for money. Here is a list of the companies I will NOT advertise for and the reasons:
- Payday loans or Cash Today or any other type of quick (read here loan shark) type of operation. They are the scum of the earth, charging extremely high interest rates to people who cannot afford it. If you do paid blog posts about how "great" these companies are then you are just like them - scum.
- HP (Hewlett-Packard) I worked for them at one point in my life and I know how first hand they treat their employees and how they really "recycle". I will not put extra money in their pockets if I can help it. I found another ex-employee of HP online and she speaks for the temp workers that worked there at her blog.
- Ebooks or companies that sell a "system" for making money online without telling the customer what the "system" is all about.
I am sure that as time goes on my list will grow. I maybe desperate for money at times to pay a bill but I will NOT mislead others to get my money. I guess I'll never make a good salesperson.
